Sailing Croatia Zadar-Kornati and Krka Waterfalls 7 nights

 

Cruise to the beautiful Kornati Archipelago. On the way we will visit beautiful, secluded islands where we have lots of time to swim, snorkel or just relax.

With over 80 islands the National Park is a stunning location for water-based activities, hiking and scenery. Our ship has special access to navigate these waters​.

We then return to Zadar and cruise down the coast to swim in the waterfalls of Krka National Park. Along the way we explore The Fortress of St.Nicholas and several beautiful port towns filled with UNESCO heritage and medieval towns

 

Heading south from Zadar we pass 100's of islands (Otok's in Croatian) including “Love Island”, before heading to the beautiful port of Skradin on the edge of the Krka National Park.

Full Itinerary

Day 1 / Friday – Cruise to Otok Molat Island

Our ship will depart Zadar at 14:00, we will cruise north-west for a few hours and have a swim stop along the way. Tonight, we'll enjoy our first sunset on deck and have a cheese and wine tasting included with all guests. You'll also be able to stroll through the small port town of Molat.

Day 2 / Saturday- Cruise to Telascica National Park on Dugi Otok Island

Start the day with Brunch onboard our ship while we cruise the local Islands. Today is a proper exploring day with several attractions in the area only made possible by a ship. We'll visit a sunken ship, great beaches, swim inside a former Yugoslav Submarine tunnel and maybe spot some dolphins. This afternoon we’ll cruise the longest island in Croatia (Dugi Otok) and make our way into the Telascica National Park area of Islands. Lunch and dinner will be on the ship today as we discover some very remote Islands. Star gazing is the feature of tonight, our remote location means the nightly solar system will be on full display, keep an eye out for the shooting stars.

Day 3 / Sunday – Cruise to the Kornati and stay in Kukljica, Ugljan Island

This morning you have plenty of time to explore the famous white cliffs, swim in the salt lakes and explore the National Park. Late morning we’ll cruise through the highlight of our trip, the Kornati’s 100’s of Islands. Today we’ll go to the small port town of Sali for lunch. In the late afternoon we’ll cruise in search of more dolphins and arrive to the Island of Ugljan.

Day 4 / Monday – Stopover in Zadar and cruise to Vrgada Island

Leaving early today we arrive in Zadar about 9am. You will then have a few hours to spend in Zadar and explore the narrow streets of the Old Town of Zadar, which is adjacent to the boat. Lots of great coffee shops and sights await you. Our ship will depart Zadar at 14:00, we will cruise south for a few hours and have a swim stop along the way. This afternoon we'll sample local cheese and wine with our other guests on board. Tonight we will be in the small port town of Vrgada, famed for fishing and breath taking sunsets. Dinner onboard presented by our very own chef.

Day 5 / Tuesday – Cruise to Sibenik town, gateway to Krka National Park 

Start the day with Brunch onboard our ship while we cruise the local Islands in search of one of the many pristine bays for a secluded swim. As we arrive near Sibenik we will access the Fortress of St Nicholas built in the 16th century and by far the most spectacular and designed to protect the St Anthony channel – gateway to Sibenik and Krka National Park. Sibenik is a medieval town with 4 fortresses, 2 UNESCO monuments and the largest church made of stone in the world. It’s famed for music and folk festivals. Klape choir music will be heard throughout the small, cobbled streets of this enchanting town and once the biggest and first city in Croatia. We suggest that a local guide take you around this enchanting town which we can organise while on tour.

Day 6 / Wednesday – Visit Krka National Park and Overnight Vodice town

Early this morning we make our way up the beautiful fiord of the Krka rivers many twists and turns and superb rock faces. Our ship will bring us to the port town of Skradin giving everyone access to board the local boats that take you into the Krka NP - entrance will cost €25 per person and can be paid locally. By far the highlight of our trip is the 17 waterfalls you can walk around on logged walk ways or take a swim. This afternoon we cruise down the Krka River and back onto the Adriatic sea to the town of Vodice.

Day 7 / Thursday – Overnight on Tkon, Ugljan Island

A nice relaxing day on board as we enjoy a few swim stops and enjoy the ship as we slowly head back up the coast. Tonight we enjoy the small port town of Tkon on the Ugljan Island.

Day 8 / Friday – Cruise to Zadar

We arrive in Zadar about 9am we say farewell to all our new friends. We wish you well on your travels and hope you had a nice time with us

Essential Information

Airport transfers are not included in the tour price All Port Fees are included. International visas are not included and must be organised prior to entering Croatia. The minimum age for this tour is 18 and it is not suitable for children. International and internal flights are not included The Tour Leader will be English Speaking and all local guides used will also be English Speaking. We cannot provide pre or post tour accommodation, but there are plenty of options available in the City. EU Citizens will not require a visa. All other nationalities should check with their local Croatian Consulate. There is free Wi-Fi available throughout the boat. The Cabins are quite tight so we do not suggest that you carry large and heavy suitcases, as there is no additional storage. We suggest a maximum of 23kg in bags that you can easily carry on to and off the boat. Solo travellers can happily share with another same sex customer, at no extra cost. There is a discount if customers want to stay in a twin room for single use We provide time to visit and relax on the islands and sights on this tour Euro is the currency to carry. Please bring sufficient to take care of the €10 per person daily Tourist tax and for meals and drinks onboard or on the islands, as cash is most widely accepted. Customers will be notified well in advance if a tour cannot go ahead due to low numbers and alternatives offered There is no level of fitness required but customers should have the ability to swim to enjoy the tour to the maximum. Stairs onboard are steep so the ability to negotiate the steps is essential This is a small group tour with a maximum of 22 people, which gives us much more privacy and exclusivity when visiting the islands. You are onboard a traditional Croatian cruising ship so will be staying in small self-contained cabins that add to the authenticity of your voyage. We leave tipping to the discretion of our customers, however it is usual to tip in Croatia. Your Tour Leader will be able to arrange a tip kitty for the staff and the Tour Leader tip will be at customer discretion.
